New Hudson Adult Volleyball League

HUDSON - The newly formed Hudson Adult Sand Volleyball League is nearing its registration deadline and will begin play Friday, Aug. 22.

Brad Birdsell, the league's creator, said sign ups will continue to be accepted until that date.

It is a co-ed league with two and four player divisions. All participants must be 18 and up and teams may have any combination of men and women.

Matches will be set for primarily Fridays, but also with some Monday and Tuesday games if there are enough teams to warrant a second evening.

Birdsell said he expects to play a 10-game season, with playoffs to follow.

All league games will be played on the court at The Villas at Hudson Springs, just off of Hudson Ave. on Pine St. near the Port Hudson Marina.

Registration fees are $25 per player to participate in either the two or four member divisions. It is $40 to play in both.
