HOLIDAY, Fla. - HOLIDAY, Fla. - West Pasco is scheduled to regain a dealership dedicated to new Volkswagen models early next year.
The showroom is now under construction in Holiday by Suncoast Auto Builders, under project manager Mike Johnson.
Kelly Volkswagen is supposed to open in February, the construction company confirmed.
The address is 3102 U.S. 19, a bit north of Gulf Trace Boulevard and south of Moog Road on the east side of the highway.
The two-story showroom will cover some 19,700 square feet.
The service department will include 13 bays, a double wash bay and a double detail bay, according to plans posted on the company Web site.
Based in Clearwater, Suncoast Auto Builders has erected 300 dealerships since 1987. Tom Strickland is the CEO of the firm.
The construction company referred questions to officials at Kuhn Volkswagen on Kennedy Boulevard in Tampa. A message was left for Kelly Hassan, the general sales manager, but the call hadn't been returned by press time.
West Pasco has not had a Volkswagen dealer since Gateway Honda in Port Richey dropped the German car from its product lineup many years ago.
