The headline on Charley Reese's Aug. 18 column asked "Who Cares Who Wins Presidential Race?" He's right. It's no longer about party loyalty but greed and fabulous perks once elected.

Look around: People taxed out of homes; schools inferior to many in Europe and Japan; bridges falling; children killing children; rapes and murders of children by pedophiles who once caught stay on death row for years, costing taxpayers millions.

What are politicians doing?

Meantime, the cause of the war in Iraq is out of the bag. Greed and lies, costing $22 million a day. And killed nearly 5,000 and injured nearly 30,000 of ours who are treated poorly when they reach home.

What was accomplished in destroying a country that had done nothing to us? Worldwide hatred.

Do other countries invade us to settle our differences? (Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11.) Israel has illegally occupied parts of several countries and gets a slap on the hand and more U.S. money.

Where are the politicians?

Politicians get elected and sell their souls to the devil to keep fabulous perks and money from foreign PACs while struggling American taxpayers subsidize their lust for greed.

So who cares who gets elected anymore?
