Our military troops and commanders continue to fight for victory in the war zones of Iraq and Afghanistan despite the fact they have to contend with an overwhelmingly anti-war sentiment at home. In my opinion this anti-war sentiment is the greatest threat to our national resolve.
The anti-war campaign is largely promoted by the many news outlets. Newspaper editors, for example, are consistently using their propensity to publish their one-sided agenda. This prevents the public from reading an accurate account of daily realities regarding the current war.
Sadly, this once-proud profession has clearly taken on a tabloid approach to journalism.
The anti-war critics have contributed sizably to the Democratic Party's unquenchable thirst for political power and have aided their efforts to sabotaging President Bush's war effort.
There was a time when Democratic leaders like Roosevelt, Truman and JFK recognized the need to arm and defeat America's enemies. Fortunately, it is our military troops and commanders, along with the commander in chief, who ultimately leads us to victory.
