Show Palace to Present Christmas Show

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. - NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. - A cheeky hairdresser who is trying to get into heaven by saving Christmas for a family in need is bringing the holiday spirit to West Pasco.

In "A Show Palace Christmas," now playing at the Show Palace Dinner Theatre, in Hudson, audiences can enjoy traditional holiday music, high-energy dances and a family-oriented story.

In a script by Matthew McGee, hairdresser Bobbi Melody, played by Susan Haldeman, lacks enough good deeds to enter heaven. She is sent back to Earth and given a second chance by helping a family in need to save Christmas.

Haldeman is a frequent performer at the Show Palace.

The play features holiday music, including "Cool Yule," "Joy to the World" and "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year."

"It's a feel-good holiday spirit type of story that everyone can relate to," said Company Manager Todd M. Eskin.

McGee is a Show Palace regular. He has appeared in various Show Palace productions, including "The Odd Couple," "Greater Tuna" and "Run for Your Life."

The performance closes with a special show on Christmas Day.

"A Show Palace Christmas" runs through Dec. 25. Friday and Saturday shows are at 8 p.m. and there is a Sunday matinee at 3 p.m. Doors open two hours before each show for dinner and cocktails.

There are also matinees on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Doors open for dinner and cocktails at 11:30 a.m. Show is 1:15 p.m.

Tickets are $44.00 plus tax for dinner and show. Show only is $32.95 plus tax.
