The 2007 Atlantic hurricane season ends Friday. Frankly, we don't care that for a second year the forecasters overstated the number and type of storms that would occur from June 1 through Nov. 30. Since Gov. Charlie Crist and the Legislature put much of the financial liability for storm damage on Florida taxpayers, any year without a major hurricane hitting the Sunshine State is a huge let-off. Once again it is better to be lucky than good – or smart.
