Regarding the letter to the editor "Apology owed," it amazes me that many Americans still continue to believe the fabrications spewed by the current occupant and the Dark Lord of Terror from the safe haven at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

The terrorists who attacked our country were not from Iraq and the only reason they are there now is because we executed that country's leader who controlled the extremists.

The first president who did absolutely nothing to combat terrorists deadly attacks was Ronald Reagan when the Marines were killed in Lebanon. His administration cut and ran at that time and even assisted Iranian extremists by illegally supplying arms to fund extremists in our own hemisphere.

With a new election coming up, the Hero of 9-11 with his tights emblazoned with a huge "G" is running on raising the fear level as the terror mongers of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue have done for too long.

It is time to address America's problems: unbelievable deficits, an extremely weak dollar, trade imbalances, healthcare gaps, job losses, mortgage and credit defaults, and the safety and security of every American.

Playing the terrorist card as the only real threat to our way of life is bogus.
