Our politicians are really the best with catchy monikers. A program limiting property taxes from increasing 20 percent per year, with property value increases was respectfully dubbed "Save Our Homes."
Our Pasco homes are now worth 25 percent less than they were two years ago. Every single Pasco homeowner has torn in half at very least $20,000 in only two years.
Have people lost track of the fact that at nearly a thousand dollars per month depreciation loss soon there will be little to save?
We need not worry though, as Pasco Commissioner Ann Hildebrand claims we shouldn't vote for the upcoming state constitutional amendment referendum, which would slow this depreciation train wreck, because the newspaper editorials say we shouldn't.
