What Mystery Series Lurks In The Shadows?

NEW PORT RICHEY FL - NEW PORT RICHEY FL - The first ever Winter Adult Reading Program, It's a Mystery @ Your Library, will launch in December, Pasco County Library System officials say.

Programs will continue through February as participants are invited to read a number of books, earn a chance to win prizes, and attend interesting seminars exploring the mystery genre.

The series kicks off Saturday, Dec. 8, at 1 p.m., at the Hudson Regional Library, 8012 Library Road, according to Linda Bragg, public relations specialist for the county library system.

Author Cal Branche will present a program on Florida Mystery Writers. Following him at 1:45 p.m., Illustrator Edward Gazst will present "Journey Into Illustrating and Adventures in Getting Published."

In addition, at 2:30 p.m., there will be a Local Authors' Fair featuring several area authors who will share their words and works. Have your book autographed and meet the authors, including Tampa Tribune columnist Megan Hussey.

Among other events in the weeks ahead at the Hudson library, a Mystery Film Series is scheduled to begin Dec. 13.

On Jan. 9, FBI Special Agent Bill Estevez will visit the Hudson library to discuss the FBI's fugitive profiling methods. Find out first-hand how those CSI agents do their job.

On Feb. 7, adult and teen mystery sleuths are invited to check out "WhoDunnit? The Disappearance of Angela Day." Participants can help solve the baffling mystery.

Registration is requested for all programs.
